ASSEMは、つくり手が集まる場として始まりました。

現在は、サステナブルという視点から再構築しています。

当初は、撮影やスタイリングつくり手同士の協働によって生まれるビジュアル表現が中心でした。
プロジェクトを重ねる中で生まれた問い、そこから変化してゆきます。

Statement

ーWe are in a process.
ASSEM did not begin as a sustainability-driven project.
It started as a space for creators to continue making,
even in uncertain times.
Today, that space is evolving.
We are rethinking how we create, collaborate, and present —
through the lens of sustainability.

Process

ーIn the beginning, the focus was on visual expression.Photography, styling, and collaboration.Through each project, questions emerged.

Where do materials come from?
How are they made?
What happens after?

These questions continue to shape our direction.

Approach

Sustainability, for us, is not a fixed definition.It is a way of seeing and continuing.

We focus on relationships —

between materials,
makers,
and processes.

Each project reflects a different stage within this ongoing approach.

Practice

We explore these ideas through projects.

Some remain rooted in visual expression.
Others begin to engage with materials,
production backgrounds, and systems of circulation.

We are gradually working with
brands, suppliers, and practices
that consider sustainability in different ways.

This is a structure in progress.
